ABOUT ME!
What Sara Bareilles, Charity Hope Valentine, and Animal from the Muppets have in common. A world of whimsy, quick wit, and a critical eye. Lover of specificity, Halloween, and a well thought out plan.
I’m Katarina Kelly, but friends and family call me Kat, and I’m from the Bay Area, California. I am also of the opinion that the East Coast is severely lacking real mountains.
If you are looking for signs of a budding songwriter/actress in your own child, you may want to look out for: their fully choreographed performance of “Government Hooker” by Lady Gaga that they perform in their bedroom nightly whilst hoping no one realizes the words they are singing, and/or a journal full of poetry that they have meticulously edited and GRADED in order to locate their magnum opus.
Although I haven’t graded my own poetry in a while, I have written a 15 minute solo show, developed my own choreography, and created my Renée Crown Honors Thesis on health and wellness for performing artists called "Performing with Pain" to suggest better practices for both educational institutions and the industry at large. Most recently, I also produced, directed, and performed in a completely femme presenting concert of Sweeney Todd entitled “Ladies in their Sensitivities,” that I am hoping to remount in a more fully realized form in the near future.
Currently, my primary focus is my songwriting, so, if you feel so inclined, subscribe to my Youtube or follow my TikTok to stay updated!
